2nd GRADE FARM DAY - BRESKO FARM
Tuesday, April 7, 2009 Farm day is an annual event for all 2nd grade students in Prince George County. On a cold, blustery day students visited 8 stations and learned about crops, food animals, dairy animals, horses, vegetables, farm machinery, soils, and aquaculture (fish farming). The information reinforced science lessons taught in 2nd grade. Prince George Master gardeners assisted by escorting the school children to the stations. PRINCE GEORGE DRINKING WATER CLINIC 2009
The Prince George Drinking Water Clinic was conducted as follows: January 28, Household Water Testing Program Kickoff Meeting, 5:30 pm, Clements Jr. High January 29, Household Water Sample Collection - 7 am - 12 noon - Extension Office February 28, Household Water Testing Results Meeting, 6 pm, Clements Jr. High All participants were asked to pre-register by calling the Prince George Office of Virginia Cooperative Extension at (804) 733-2686.
