CONGRATULATIONS-2011 PGMGA SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
Scholarship Committee Members Andrea Schneck, Jacqueline Shepperson, Alexandra Wunderly, and Earlene Hogg congratulate scholarship recipient Jaylen Lewis at the Annual Picnic. Jaylen Lewis, Joe "Tyler" Green and Christopher Pitek were awarded $500.00 scholarships.
This is the website of the Prince George Master Gardeners, an affiliate of the Virginia Cooperative Extension which is a partnership of Virginia Tech and Virginia State University.
Meetings are the first Monday in February, April, June, August, October, and December at 6:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room, Prince George Health and Human Services building (6450 Administration Drive, Prince George, Virginia 23875).
Virginia Master Gardeners are volunteer educators who work within their communities to encourage and promote environmentally sound horticulture practices through sustainable landscape management education and training. Virginia Master Gardeners bring the resources of Virginia's land-universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University to the people of the commonwealth.
Andrea Schneck and Earlene Hogg instruct Master Gardener Interns on pruning ornamentals at the Richard Bland College Water Garden. This session was available to the public.
Monardo invites many polinators to your garden. Hummingbirds are very fond of these blooms.
Maddie says, "Clean and sharpen lawn and garden tools and store them in a dry storage area."
Hemoracallis bloom throughout the summer and come in a large variety of colors.
Daylilies are relatively disease free and make a wonderful addition to the flower garden.
